The Stephens County Foundation has the following mission: 

Enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Stephens County, Georgia

Fostering and providing learning opportunities about our heritage and natural surroundings.

Preservation of community history, historical sites and natural resources.

Expansion of recreational opportunities in nature in an environmentally responsible way. 

The Stephens County Foundation is a 501 (C ) 3, not for profit community foundation, directed by a Board of Trustees whose initial mission is to protect and preserve the historic and natural resources of the Tugaloo Corridor with the Tugaloo Bend Park as the major effort.   We believe students and the general public will benefit significantly from the educational and recreational use of this fascinating area.

The Park contains various facilities for rent or use to support weddings, family events, community events and educational opportunities.  Also, kayaks and canoes are available for rent.
